Burleson Church has a large number of families with children and we consider this a huge blessing! We are deeply committed to training these children to know, love, and serve Jesus and are always looking for people who love kids and want to minister to them. Once a quarter the children and youth of our church are mentored into leadership by allowing them to lead every aspect of the church service – from storytelling to preaching and everything in between. Coordinator: Youth Pastor
adventurer club
The Adventurer Club is a Seventh-day Adventist Church-sponsored ministry open to all families of children age four through 4th grade. The Adventurer Club provides fun and creative ways for children. 1. to develop a Christ-like character; 2. to experience the joy and satisfaction of doing things well; 3. to express their love for Jesus in a natural way; 4. to learn good sportsmanship and strengthen their ability to get along with others; 5. to discover their God-given abilities and to know how to use them to benefit self and serve others, 6. to improve their understanding of what makes families strong.

Deacon/deaconess ministry
Deacons and Deaconesses are concerned with the material needs of the congregation, including the comfort of worshippers; security and upkeep of church property; ministry to the sick, shut-ins, widows, and orphans; and specific responsibilities during the Communion Service and Baptismal Ceremony
Deacons We are looking for men who are willing and able to make a commitment to serving their church in practical ways. The time commitment will vary with the needs of the church plant and congregation, but a minimum requirement is the availability to be on a schedule for Sabbath duties. Coordinator: Bryan Voegele

Our Women's Ministry holds quarterly events at the church that promote fellowship, spiritual growth, and creative activities. Additionally we have quarterly Restaurant Socials as we explore culinary adventures together. Women In Faith Bible Studies are held on Wednesday nights as leader schedule allows. We all need a safe place to share, bond, and find accountability. Men's Ministry provides such an opportunity every other Tuesday evining. Check the EVENTS tab for details. Coordinators: David Adams and Rick Beaulieu
hospitality ministry
GREETERS
The greeter is the visitor’s first connection with our church and sets the tone for each individual’s experience with church fellowship and worship. First impressions are often lasting impressions and we are looking for those willing and able to demonstrate the love of Christ in a warm and inviting way to all who walk through our doors. Usually greeters are scheduled to serve one Sabbath every four to six weeks. You will need to be on duty in the foyer about 20-30 minutes before First Service until Sabbath School begins, or from beginning of Sabbath School until the sermon begins in Second Service. CARD MINISTRY
Writing notes of appreciation and encouragement, including birthday greetings, thank-you, get well wishes, words of sympathy or “thinking of you” messages. Coordinator: Joan Philbin
Connect Corner
We are looking for volunteers with a positive and helpful attitude to sit at the Connect Corner in the foyer before and after the church service to assist and connect with visitors. Volunteers for this ministry will be assigned to a flexible schedule. Coordinator: Liz Simons
media ministry
With all the advances in technology, we are learning to use a variety of media to enhance the worship service and support various ministries.
SOUND TECHNICIAN
Responsible for running the sound for an assigned Sabbath. This includes attending Praise Team practices which usually occur Friday evening and Sabbath morning. Requires training in use of the sound board. Coordinator: Ben Francisco
COMPUTER SUPPORT
This person needs to have a good knowledge of computer systems and servers as well as knowledge of a variety of software systems. They will be responsible for setting up and maintaining computer systems and may need to run the computer during the church service. Coordinator: Clarance Newton
VIDEO TECHNICIAN
Responsible for recording the church service weekly and downloading it to the church web site. Coordinator: Clarence Newton
WEBSITE
Web sites take a lot of upkeep to stay current and sharp looking. Let us know if you have experience with graphic design or web site maintenance. Coordinator: Liz Simons

PRAISE TEAMS
Music is an important part of the worship experience at Burleson. It is the goal of the worship team to lead the congregation in praise and adoration to the Lord through the powerful gift of music. Understanding that music is very personal, we strive to provide a balance in musical styles.

A variety of instruments are used in the worship service and we are always looking for skilled musicians who can read music and/or play by ear to be a part of the Praise Teams, Sabbath School classes, special music, choir, etc.

CHURCH CHOIR
Do you love singing but can’t make the commitment to the schedule of a Praise Team? Then the choir may be a place for you to minister to your church. The choir performs approximately four times a year with practices twice a month alternating on Sunday evenings. Coordinator: Rick Beaulieu

Our church is full of musical talent! And we are surrounded by other churches and schools that are blessed with amazing talent! Join us every Tuesday night at 8pm via Conference Call as we worship God with prayers of praise, petition, and thanksgiving. A variety of social activities provide the setting for a church family to grow and strengthen its bonds. FAMILY FIREWORKS FEST
This annual event combines church social activities with community outreach. Held on the Church/Union property, it is the best seat in the house to watch the city fireworks on July 4th. This is an excellent opportunity to serve and get to know our neighbors.
How can you get involved? Many volunteers are needed to assist with security, children’s activities, concession stands, marketing, financial support, set-up and take-down, etc. Planning for this event begins approximately three months in advance and takes our whole church family to pull off well!
